Junior Apprenticeship Pathway

Our Junior Apprenticeship Pathway  is based at the Herald Curriculum Centre (Years 9-11)

For students ready to complete their secondary education within a supportive alternative provision, our Junior Apprenticeship Pathway at Coventry AP Academy offers an innovative and future-focused solution. This pathway equips students with the qualifications, confidence, and resilience needed to pursue meaningful post-16 opportunities.

Features of this pathway include:

  • A tailored curriculum combining core subjects (English, Maths, Science, PE, PSHE/RSHE) with vocational and enhancement blocks
  • Hands-on vocational training in areas such as construction, food technology, and hair and beauty, delivered in partnership with North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College – with college lecturers on site 3 days per week
  • Personalised careers advice and guidance to ensure students are prepared for further education, employment, or training

At Herald, students discover their passions, build their skills, and leave ready to succeed in the next stage of their journey.
